At the beginning of the year, residents of the Andean village of Alto Veladero began the first preparatory work for the construction of the CloudFisher fog collectors. According to the contract, the farmers participate in digging the trenches that are necessary for laying the water pipes. A good 1000 metres long is the trench that leads from the location of the fog collectors in the Bolivian highlands down to the village. The pipes and the CloudFisher components were already delivered by the WaterFoundation last year. However, the construction has been delayed because the experts from Germany have not yet been able to enter the country due to the corona-related restrictions.
