A small community of about 200 people will soon have permanent access to clean water. The project was officially launched with a festive opening ceremony.
Life in the mountainous region at an altitude of over 3000 metres is hard. Now, thanks to the WaterFoundation, latrines and showers are being installed for the farming families. The families’ shelters will be connected to the water system. The goal: a water tap in every household!
In addition, water committees will be formed to take care of the maintenance of the water system and training on hygiene practices will be conducted.
The project is scheduled to be completed in August 2023.
