2 toilet blocks were built for girls and 2 for boys at 2 schools in Bilaa (#Ethiopia). 64 toilets, 18 urinals and 68 hand-washing facilities have been installed.
Selected teachers and pupils have been trained as part of the project and have passed on their knowledge to their classmates in almost 200 workshops. 1,000 girls have taken part in special workshops on menstrual hygiene.
Murals painted by the schoolchildren themselves explain how to use the toilets and hand-washing facilities correctly.
